Samsung Galaxy SIV review (samsung galaxy s 4 vs Apple iPhone 5) : Symbolic of Sound Creation!

Samsung Galaxy SIV review (samsung galaxy s 4 vs Apple iPhone 5) : Symbolic of Sound Creation!

Samsung borrowed Radio City Music Hall at New York City to throw the launch party of its Samsung SIV while chanting its tagline “life companion” all along. Samsung’s message behind the device wasn’t any secret, the Company has been pushing hard to convey that its latest Galaxy is a ‘friend, a willing companion and able assistant’.
"For each of us, life is a journey. What you want is a device that can help us on the journey,” Samsung's CEO JK Shin said on stage, and then he let the phone do the talking. Later he renewed his discourse saying, “We will make life richer, simpler, and fuller.”
Although the official unveiling barely surprised us, since most of the Samsung SIV features were already known, the event was viewed across the globe and is one of the biggest yet, even matching events from Apple. Now does the phone match Apple’s iPhone 5s? Let’s see.

samsung galaxy s4

With all the success of the Galaxy SIII being simple and sleek in terms of design, Samsung’s choice to stick to the same design, though not in exactness, isn’t a bad move. Immediately, the resemblance is uncanny, with the rounded edges and home button centered bottom of the large device, but look closer and you’ll spot the nots. This phone is by the way, lighter, and thinner than the SIII. Samsung was hard pressed for its decision to go with a plastic exterior for its SIII. An un-phased Samsung has once again opted for plastic for the SIV, but has executed this in a more refined way. That plastic will be given strokes of black and white called as Black Mist and Whist Frost. The mist is misty as intended giving it a matte look, the frost on the other hand is not frosty at all and all the gloss is very much prevalent.
The Galaxy SIV was predicted to come with fantastic features that will connect all the missing links in the stars of the Galaxy series to form a beautiful ever… or rather year long and memorable phone. With a 5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen having a resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels, we are but star struck. The ppi has been increased to 441ppi with this device from the SIII. HTC outnumbered this figure with 468ppi on its upcoming One; however that screen was smaller being about 4.7inches.
One rumor that turned out to be fiction was that there would be Green PHOLED technology used in the SIV. The launch revealed that Samsung has put in place the Super AMOLED technology.

The screen is ultra-sensitive, and you can run tasks with all the style that a gentle sleek swipe packs. If you don’t swipe your finger across, and just hold them over the phone stagnant for a bit, you will initiate two features, the Air View and Air Gesture. The Air View lets you access emails and pictures without making contact, and this works magically. The Air Gesture requires fine tuning, wait that is putting it too lightly, as it really requires far more to get it working the way it was intended to. In theory, Air Gesture lets you scroll through the internet, or pick calls, and even change tracks by the wave of your hand. The device has Gorilla Glass 3 which is three star protections.
The 13 Megapixel camera is certainly a larger concentration of pixels than the other Galaxy devices, yet, being a Flagship model, we won’t whistle at it, since this is a common number for stellar devices. The camera does have a powerful flash and a high-speed shutter mode. The secondary camera is a 2-megapixel camera.
Samsung has added in a new feature, which can run the front and back camera at the same time. Initially, you may go wow, but come to think of it, what is the result? ‘Big deal’ we think and dismiss the so called grand feature, no pun intended.

Smart Pause technology however is more intriguing and pauses a video when you look away from the screen, and automatically resumes the video when your attention is turned to it again. Ah, the perfect answer to interruptions during video watch.
Quad is great while Octa is exhilarating. The Galaxy S4 coming to your country could have the 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor. There are two types of processors, and there still is secrecy as to which will be launched in what market.
Samsung recently tweeted that the same processor will be found in the Galaxy Note 3 phone/tablet. The new eight-core design is based on ARM's big LITTLE module. To deconstruct, there are four powerful Cortex-A15 cores for intense processes and four lower-power Cortex-A7 models for more simple tasks like background applications, per say. These cores interchangeably kick in depending on the ongoing processes thus reserving battery power when necessary.
While we are on the subject, the battery on the handset is a 2,600mAh battery which is about 500mAh more than that found in the SIII, and will fuel the call of duty demanded by the bigger screen and even 4G. Battery can be removed, and hence replaced, or swapped for longer battery duration when you are a source to charge up. The device supports 4G LTE networks and better Wi-Fi. There is also NFC.
As for storage, you will have options between the16GB, 32GB and 64GB models and still there is a microSD card slot provision for more storage which can be extended to 64GB. Classic businesses movethe benefits to the end user who can pick up a more reasonable device and turn up the storage if and when needed.

The SIV has some fancy accessories which are a watchout. Other features of the device include an IR transmitter, through which the user can control home entertainment kit via the WatchOn app. S Voice Drive has also been added, for driving needs. The UI is simple and intuitive picking up on voice inputs. Transcribe features are also present so, you can go crazy converting languages which the phone will read out to you.
Overall, the features on the SIV are fanciful and the right balance of powerful hardware and good software key features. This flagship will sail Samsung smoothly through the course of this year, against odds like the Apple 5s and other major competitor Flagships for 2013. With updates on its software to rid the bugs the phone can set right some of its mistakes found in the launch version. With all this, and in consideration of its numerous features, the success of this phone is ordained.
