Samsung has added two new smartphones to its Galaxy series of smartphones. The next in the galaxy series are the Samsung Galaxy MEGA 5.8 and Samsung Galaxy MEGA 6.3 that come with a huge touchscreen. Samsung, yesterday officially announced the MEGA series of smartphones that come with 5.8 and 6.3 inch touchscreens. The phone-build is quite sleek and slim and looks trendy. Based on a design similar to the galaxy s3, the Galaxy Mega series blends the power of multitasking with portability.

The phone was officially announced on April 11,2013 and comes in two variants - 5.8 inch and 6.3 inches. The Samsung Galaxy MEGA 6.3 comes with a 6.3 inch touchscreen with HD display. An 8 MP camera at the rear and a 2 MP camera in the front add to some of the coolest features of the phone. A dual core 1.7 GHz dual core processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM boosts the processing speed of multitasking. With other features such as Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and Android Jelly Bean OS, the phone comes with a good backup time, all due to a 3200 mAh battery.

As Samsung MEGA 6.3 promises a lot, Samsung MEGA 5.8 also brings in some similar features. With a 5.8 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 540X960, the phone is powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor and has the same quality of camera that the 6.3 variant possesses.

The device will be available worldwide from May onwards starting with Europe and Russia. The specs of the phone have been leaked.
