Samsung Galaxy S Advance to get Jelly Bean update in Jan next year.

Samsung has finally announced the latest OS update for its Samsung Galaxy S flagship - The Samsung Galaxy S Advance. The Samsung Galaxy S advance is going to get an OS update in January 2013. The Jellybean OS update for the smartphone will be made available sometime in January next year.

The announcement was made by Samsung on it's German facebook page. The page posted that Samsung will be releasing such updates for more and more devices and will try to update their OS to Android JellyBean 4.1 version. It also stated that the update for Samsung Galaxy S I9070 Advance will be made available on gravel or over-the-air in January.

Although, Samsung has yet not stated the date when this update will be released but, they have said that the update will be made available in january itself. Also, it is not yet sure that the update done would be to 4.1 or 4.2. The update will elevate the OS of Samsung Galaxy S Advance from Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread to straightaway JellyBean OS.

Not only will Samsung Galaxy S Advance get an update, but Samsung has a long long list of smartphones, that will receive updates. This list includes - Samsung galaxy S II, Galaxy S advance, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Music, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Mini 2, Tab 2, Galaxy Note 10.1.

But, there's a sad news for users of Samsung devices in India. The Over The Air update to Jellybean had some bugs, which caused problems to those who updated their devices. So, the Korean giant has currently suspended the updates and will try to resume it soon after fixing the bug.

Nigeria: Samsung electronics has launched its highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in Nigeria. By rolling out the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in Nigeria, Samsung has added a new product to its smartphone category.

The device is combination of a tablet and a smartphone and comes with a rubber padded S-Pen stylus. The device was unveiled at an event held in Lagos. The device was earlier launched during the IFA in Berlin in September 2012 and has now arrived on the African continent. The device was revealed at an unboxing event held at Capetown in October 2012.

Mr. Bravo Kim who is the manager of Samsung Electronics Co. in West Africa said that this was a step forward by Samsung to fulfill its brand promise. He said that it is Samsung's commitment to take motivational steps to inspire the world with awful technology, to bring innovations to their customer's doorsteps. This launch is also being taken as a measure to dominate over Apple's iPhone 5 in the market. The apple iPhone 5 was launched in October this year and has gained dominance in the smartphone market since then, leaving behind its rival Samsung.

The Galaxy Note 2 is powered by the latest Android OS Jelly Bean and features a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor. The device also features a giant 5.5 inch touchscreen. The display is quite clear. The tablet cum smartphone comes with an 8 MP primary camera and 1.9 MP secondary camera.

Samsung plans to launch windows 8 based tablets.

Samsung - the smartphone giant has planned to launch windows 8 based tablets in 2013. The tablets will be released by Samsung in the second half of 2013. The South Korean electronics giant has decided to move a step further an integrate the tablet PC based windows 8 in its upcoming tablets. An executive of Samsung said that the company would be releasing the product later in 2013.

Windows 8 is microsoft's new Operating System in the Windows OS line. It was released this year in October and has gained huge popularity since then. User's are loving it and the sales has also set a new record. Windows 8 enables a touch based user-friendly interface for its users. It brings with it cool new features and a brand new app store where you can get cool new apps at a price or free of cost.

Prior to heading towards launching its new tablets based on the Windows 8 OS, Samsung has focused only on Android based OS till now for its touch based tabs and smartphones. However, Samsung has now shifted towards Windows 8 seeing the huge popularity that windows 8 is making in the market. This will surely help Samsung gain a huge share in the smartphone and tablet market.

Earlier, the samsung galaxy tab, the samsung galaxy s series all came with the latest Android OS, but this strategic shift of the OS from Android to Windows 8 is worrying the competitors of Samsung.

Jin Park, the vice President of IT solutions department of Samsung Electronics said that sometime during the later half of the year 2013 they are planning to release the windows 8 based tablets into the market. He also hinted at the price range saying that these tablets will be available at an affordable price range.

Jin Park stated this when he was in New Delhi at the launch of the Samsung new Windows 8 based notebooks - the "ATIV series". These notebooks can also be used as a touch-based tablets. Apart from this Samsung has also launched a series of Windows 8 based touch notebooks that include Series 9 and series 5 ultra touch.
