Both these phones were released this year and come with quad-core processing, which makes them incredibly fast. Both these smartphones offer a large capacitive touchscreen and the latest Android OS - the Ice Cream Sandwich.

But choosing between these two is surely a tough task because both offer premium smartphone experience with some really amazing features. Well, we take a look how both of them stand with regard to different  sections.

DESIGN AND BODY

The galaxy s iii comes with the biggest touch screen ever on a smartphone based on android OS. Although Dell Streak and Galaxy Note both offer a 4.8 inches touch screen, Samsung Galaxy S 3 also houses the same size of its touch screen, hence having the biggest touch screen Super AMOLED display.
HTC One X also does fairly well and comes with a 4.7 inches capacitive touch screen thats only 0.1 inches less than the galaxy s iii.
The two devices have almost the same size. HTC One X measures 134 X 70 X 8.9mm whereas Samsung Galaxy s 3 has the following dimensions: 137 X 71 X 8.6 mm, which is the slimmest smartphone from samsung.
One X features a unibody design while Samsung has a removable back cover, thats useful when you need to change the battery. Also, HTC One X has rounded corners while Samsung s 3 features a pebble shaped design that feels awkward when you hold it for the first time.
If we talk of desing, One X surely looks a bit sturdy and appealing than the galaxy s iii.

Our Take: We would prefer HTC over Samsung considering only the Design.

OS & PRE-LOADED APPS
Both the smartphones use the same Operating System that is the Android 4.0 , Ice Cream Sandwich. Both of them have different Interface. Both of them have their own custom sense software and Touchwiz software installed in the devices.
Samsung has removed many of its apps and widgets that were reported to make its previous galaxy s version, the galaxy s II slower and sluggish. Even after such changes, the User Interface of the galaxy s3 gives its user a poor experience with the navigation. The user faces a bad time going through apps, that remain unused.
While HTC has a limited number of apps, giving even a fewer uninstallable apps.
Samsung's answer to Apple's Siri, also seems to be a big flop. With too many bugs, the complete version of the SVoice that comes pre-loaded in the phone, still seems to be in its early stages of development.
The only useful apps that I could find was SBeam that is based on Android Beam Technology, that comes with HTC's One X.

Our Take: Whatever be the amount of apps that a handset or a smartphone provides, Users always go for devices with easier navigation avoiding all the mess( thats seen in the Samsung galaxy siii). Hence, we prefer OneX over galaxy siii

PERFORMANCE
HTC One X runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor with a 1 GB RAM, while Samsung galaxy S 3 runs on 1.4 GHz quad-core processor having the same RAM capacity. But, while you work on your Samsung Galaxy s iii, you will notice that it runs a bit faster than the One X.

Our Take: Prefer Samsung over HTC One X in performance.

CAMERA
Both the devices do well in this section. Where Samsung claims to shoot videos with zero lag with its 8 MP rear camera, HTC One X also features the same quality of rear camera.
But Samsung, outdoes One X in the front camera section, where Samsung claims to record 1080p videos with the front 1.9 MP while HTC has a 1.3 MP camera with normal recording, which is less impressive.
While Samsung galaxy s' front camera has the ability to detect faces and the rear camera has ability to click burst photos, HTC also tweaked its camera software to take 99 continuous photos holding down the device's shutter button.
Although Samsung has introduced changes in the software to provide better capturing experience, HTC is still ruling this field with already tweaked apps that Samsung is yet to match.

Our Take: prefer HTC One X over Samsung galaxy siii.


STORAGE CAPACITY & BATTERY
Samsung galaxy has a battery of 2100 mAh while HTC comes with a 1800 mAh. So galaxy siii does give you a better back-up.
Samsung galaxy comes in 16 GB , 32 GB and 64 GB versions and a memory card slot, One X comes with a 32 GB internal memory and no memory slot.

Our Take: Prefer samsung galaxy siii over One X

Samsung mobiles the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in the world gets another shock from the U.S. court. After being barred from selling the 10.1 galaxy tabs in U.S. , a U.S. court gave orders to ban the sales of Samsung Nexus in the U.S. following a patent dispute with Apple.

Earlier U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh had given orders to ban samsung galaxy tab 10.1 in the U.S. following a patent infringement registered by Apple against the electronics giant Samsung. The samsung nexus s and the samsung nexus s 2 sales had gone relatively high and samsung was doing good in the mobile market with these handsets.
World's biggest and second biggest high-end mobile phone manufacturers have accused each other of patent infringement and Samsung has already faced the music. Now with another ban on one of its major smartphones, Samsung will surely look forward to defend itself.

Apple has filed a complained against 25 Samsung smartphones in addition to the Nexus, including the latest Samsung Galaxy s III. The Nexus smartphone was the first one to run Anroid 4.0 ICS version. Samsung argues in a court filing that the order taken by U.S. District Judge was unfair and Samsung hasn't infringed upon any patents of Apple. Samsung is also trying to seek a delay in the orders of banning its Nexus smartphone in order to prevent the decrease in the sales of its smartphone until the matter is solved.

Samsung's new projector phone Samsung Galaxy GT I8530 is all set to be released in India. Samsung on 28th June 2012 announced on its official facebook page that this projector phone is all set to release in India. Although no exact date was given by them, but they said they will be releasing it in the market soon.

There are rumors that this samsung smartphone will be available in July. But no exact date of the availability of this samsung mobile has yet been announced. But, we are expecting that Samsung will release it either in the first week of July or during the mid of July. The phone has dimensions of 123.9X64.2X12.6 mm which makes it a bit bulgy than it should have been, but still I think they had to do this because of the projector. Still the phone is sleek compared to some other phones of the same price range.


CONFIGURATION


The phone comes with an internal memory of 8 GB that's more than enough. But still if you feel that the memory is less, you have an option to insert a memory card in the memory card slot and expand it upto 32 GB. The processor has a speed of 786 MHz thats Ok, not too good, not too bad.


OS and APPS


I am not happy with the OS they are providing, an android 2.3 based OS thats old enough. If you want to own this phone with an upgraded OS all that you can do is wait and be patient until samsung releases an update for its samsung galaxy beam I8530.
The presenter app proves quite helpful if you are in a small confernece and using your phone as a projector.


BATTERY


The battery does exceptionally well in reference to the talk time it gives whether be it a 2G or a 3G network.
The battery gives an ample amount of Back-up.


Hence, overall the phone is good for people who are quite fond of entertainment as well as for small business meetings. If you want to own a phone with projector go for it.

A court in the United States has banned the sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets in the US until it decides on the ongoing dispute of the firm with Apple.

Apple had previously complained that the firm had copied the design of its famous tablet iPad. Both the rivals are involved in a number of cases in different countries. They have been involved in cases of patent infringement.

In answer, Samsung has said that , Samsung had not done any such thing and will take legal actions.

Both being the biggest firms of the world have accused each other of infringing each others' patents since 2010. While apple is alleging that samsung has copied its design from the iPad, Samsung has alleged that Apple had violated the norms by copying the way Samsung phones and Tablets connect to the internet.
