Android 4.0 - ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 by july end

The ICS - Ice Cream Sandwich update is being expected to hit the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 by the end of the July this year. Last year Google had unveiled Android 4.0 - Ice Cream Sandwich, which made every smartphone and tablet manufacturing company to schedule updates for all their smartphones and tablets in their respective lineups.

So, Samsung immediately announced an OS update for its Samsung Galaxy S II and Samsung Galaxy Note.

Samsung kept its word and in february, they rolled out an update - Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S 2, but the Android 4.0 ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Note could not be rolled out at that time. Hence, it was delayed to Q2 2012. This was the time when the customers of Samsung were expecting the release of update for their Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1, but unfortunately, Samsung did not release it.

However, there are reports confirming the release of Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 OS update to Android 4.0 ICS by the end of July this year. No official declaration has yet been done, but rumors have it that by the end of July or by the first week of August, the update will be available.

So, Whats so exciting about these updates?

Well, updating the O.S. of the galaxy tab 10.1 will not only crank up the Tab, but will also come with a lot of goodies and apps for the 10.1" tab. Performance of the tab will improve significantly and the update will also boost the speed significantly.

But, consumers must not get excited, these are just rumors and we hope that Samsung does release an update for its Galaxy tab 10.1 to make the competition really tight.
