US court bans sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab
A court in the United States has banned the sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets in the US until it decides on the ongoing dispute of the firm with Apple.
Apple had previously complained that the firm had copied the design of its famous tablet iPad. Both the rivals are involved in a number of cases in different countries. They have been involved in cases of patent infringement.
Samsung is no doubt the biggest rival of Apple and its Galaxy Tab 10.1 is being considered as the biggest rival to iPad from Apple. While, the ban has been imposed only on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 version, its latest Galaxy Tab 10.1 version II will be available for purchase in the U.S. Lucy Koh, the District Judge of the United States, said that Although samsung has a right to compete with Apple, but it has no right to do it illegally.
In answer, Samsung has said that , Samsung had not done any such thing and will take legal actions.
Both being the biggest firms of the world have accused each other of infringing each others' patents since 2010. While apple is alleging that samsung has copied its design from the iPad, Samsung has alleged that Apple had violated the norms by copying the way Samsung phones and Tablets connect to the internet.
