Samsung's smartwatch - Samsung Galaxy Gear is releasing on September 4, 2013 and promises to bring in much of what is being anticipated by the techies. As the time of the release of the smartwatch, alongside the Galaxy Note 3, is nearing Samsung Galaxy Gear specs have started leaking. Apparently, Apple is also planning to launch its smartwatch soon. Samsung would be the one to start the race and would be competing with tech giants like Sony and Apple to bag the number one spot in smartwatch category.


This is what Samsung Galaxy Gear is expected to be coming up with-

SAMSUNG GALAXY GEAR DISPLAY: Samsung Galaxy Gear would be featuring a 2.5 inch OLED Display. The screen would have a resolution of 320 X 320 with full color range capability.

SAMSUNG GALAXY GEAR PROCESSOR: The smartwatch would boast a dual core Exynos 4 processor. The processor would be clocked at 1.5 GHz and a Mali 400 GPU.

SAMSUNG GALAXY GEAR BATTERY LIFE: With some leaks about the processor and GPU, Phandroid reported that the Samsung Galaxy Gear would be one of a kind and would be backed up by a pretty decent battery life.

SAMSUNG GALAXY GEAR OS: Some variants of the smartwatch would run on Android 4.1 and some on Android 4.2. The smartwatch will be integrated with Samsung Galaxy Smartphones.
