Is samsung developing world's first flexible phone?
Its a few days until the next year arrives, but the cellphone companies have geared to amaze their customers with some new, latest and unseen technology ever produced in the mobile world. Out of this curiosity, comes out a completely new concept of developing new cellphones. Its the flexible smartphone, which is being expected to be making a debut in 2013, whether early or late - its still not clear. It seems as if Samsung has started the preparation to amaze its users with the first ever flexible smartphone.
Rumors have surfaced that the first ever flexible smartphone is being manufactured by the South Korean giant - Samsung electronics. Prior to this other rumors related to flexible phones had flood the mobile market and the internet. The rumors earlier stated that SONY is developing their new cell phones based on the flexible mobile phone concept. But, the rumors did not materialize.
But, this time it is a known fact that almost all the cellphone giants have started working on the concept of flexible phones and are competing with each other to be the first one to release their successful products in the market. All mobile giants - Sony, Nokia, LG and Motorola are working on this project.
According to a report by BBC, samsung may soon roll out its range of flexbile smartphones to become the first company to have manufactured such a cellphone. It is still not confirm that whether Samsung will launch a new series named - Samsung galaxy flexible or whether samsung will enhance its already famous devices like the Samsung galaxy s series or the Samsung galaxy note.
Samsung has already stated that the flexible devices will feature a "foldable, rollable, wearable" displays and these displays will also be durable enough. The use of a new plastic substrate other than that used in LCD, makes the screens of this device strong and durable and more flexible.
