Samsung Galaxy Grand and Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos announced
December 19, 2012 - Samsung yesterday announced the Samsung Galaxy Grand and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos- a new addition to its community of large touch screen phones. The smartphone Samsung Galaxy grand features a 5 inch touchscreen which adds it to the category of Samsung phones with massive touchscreen.
The company has officially announced both the Samsung Galaxy Grand and Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos on its official blog called - Samsung Tomorrow. The post also stated that Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos will arrive in the market prior to Samsung Galaxy Grand.
The features of Samsung Galaxy Grand and the Galaxy Grand Duos include a 5 inch touch screen, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The design pattern that was introduced in Samsung Galaxy S3 has been carried forward in this version of the Galaxy Grand.
Apart from these, the grand comes with an 8 MP camera that which captures amazingly stunning photographs even in the dark, thanks to its LED Flash. The internal memory that is 8GB can be raised to a maximum of 64GB via SD card.
Other features like 3G and WiFi connectivity are also available in the phone. The Samsung Tomorrow post revealed that the Grand Duos - the dual sim version will have the capability to take a call on the other SIM while talking on the second SIM.
